ok i havent updated this blog in like a month probbaly idk i made a new blog awhile ago but im lazy and didnt make this post until now

depression is a chemical imbalance in the brain that can’t be cured by telling someone you love them. you can positively influence this person and you can make them happy but you can’t fix them in the same sense that you can’t cure cancer by making someone smile.
This is just so hard to accept because I base my life upon trying to make others happy but my best friend has depression.
you sound like a lovely person. just remember that depression isnt just a feeling like sadness or happiness. you can still make her happy sometimes, just not all the time. you can still love and support her as best as you can. a lot of depressed people are left by their friends because they’re ~too depressing~ to be around. you cant cure her, but you can still be a good friend :)
